Shannon Freshwater / Bio

  Shannon Freshwater is inspired by the mysterious and unknown. She uses collage and assemblage to reflect emotion and to examine ideas of the self. She grew up in the bizarre landscape of Las Vegas, studied painting and film in New Mexico, and lived in a collaborative art community in Seattle before moving to Southern California to finish her education. 

Shannon currently lives and works in Los Angeles and is on the art department faculty at California State University Northridge, and illustration faculty at Art Center.
