Joanne Kim was born in Seoul, Korea, and moved to California when she was ten. She graduated from ArtCenter College of Design with BFA. Her luminous paintings are representations of her memories of childhood; filled with nostalgia, but also infused with a haunting stillness. At first glance these images appear childlike, but upon contemplation, their formal rigor and emotional complexity emerge.

Sung Jik Yang is a painter based in Los Angeles, who comes from South Korea. He creates lush oil-on-canvas portraits, figures, still lifes, and landscapes. While his paintings come from insightful observations, their startling clarity of shape and boldness of design evidence an uncanny assimilation of multiple Modernist principles. He currently teaches painting at Art Center College of Design in Pasadena.
